UFC Champ Greatest of all time?

A champion in any sport has set a huge target on his back, but when they fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the most bigger and more evil in the world are gunning for you at all times, title shot or not. In fifteen years, 97 of the biographies of the UFC, only 11 fighters defended his title more than once. This list of elite fighters, rightly earned its place in the history of the UFC, as many critics and fans I think this sport is not really a champion until he has successfully defended his belt. Those who made more than once, without a doubt the cream of the crop. So who is the greatest of all time?
That what follows is the list of UFC fighters with several successful title defenses. You decide what the best of the best is. If the main criterion is the number of consecutive successful defenses, Anderson Silva is the undisputed king. If the total number of defenses is the measuring stick, Matt Hughes get approval. And if the championship caliber of competition is also a concern, I'd say most of Silva.
1. Matt Hughes (WW) - Defense Title: 7
Matt Hughes was and is a legend in the UFC. Visitors who defended his title with a total of seven times during the two separately as welterweight champion of UFC. During his first tenure as champion, he defended five times in against the likes of Gil Castillo and Frank Trigg (lol). I like it here but in a more serious note, Matt Hughes has fought a load of quality fighters in his illustrious career, However, looking at his list of candidates is not comparable with certainty Anderson Silva's.
2. Anderson Silva (MW) - defenders: 6
After his last stand is now the sole record holder for consecutive title defenses at the UFC. Yet he had undeserved criticism learned from UFC 97, which is still the middleweight champion of the UFC and pound for pound king. The next time someone has the balls to enter the cage with him and try to impose their will on it, bet it will continue to dominate. (See target = "_blank"> Anderson is the champion!) The set of defenses and challenges, it has beaten is nothing short of excellent!
3. Tito Ortiz (TSL) - Title Defenses: 5
UGH! It hurts to have to put the "Huntington Beach Bad Boy" on this list, but facts are facts. Tito has defended his Light Heavyweight title 2000 to 2002, until Randy Couture removed from it. Randy was when Bad Boy you some well deserved corporal punishment as a humiliating beating … HA HA!
4. Chuck Liddell (TSL) - Defense Title: 4
The "Iceman" is one of the veins of Defense with the most impressive. Including his victory over Randy Couture to win the title he won and defended the title five consecutive wins TKO. Randy, Tito, Jeremy Horn and Renato Sobral were all victims of dynamite in the hands of Chuck during his reign as champion.
5. Pat Miletich (WW) - Defense: 4
Miletich is his debut official at UFC 16 and won the first UFC Lightweight Tournament. In 2001, the UFC has changed the boundaries of class weights, the creation of halfway. , In the UFC 17: Ultimate Brazil, beat Pat and Marcus Burnett became the first champion of the UFC welterweight. He went to fight for the welterweight title four times before losing to Carlos Newton for presenting at UFC 31.
6. Frank Shamrock (TSL) - Defense: 4
"The Legend" was Light Heavyweight Champion from 1997 to 1999, until he lost his title to retirement. The talent was so well against, but the gains were impressive Shamrock Fashion - All by submission, TKO or KO in the first round, except that coups makes Tito, which ended in strikes in the fourth round.
7. Randy Couture (HW) - Defense Title: 3
Randy "The Natural" Couture, perhaps the most popular mixed martial artist of all time won the heavyweight championship four times (1 title), and successfully defended it three times total. He also won the Lightweight belt twice, but never successfully defended. Although his win-loss can not be as bright as some of the other great champions of the UFC, for some it is the largest of all times for its achievements in two weight classes to older ages.
8. The following fighters have defended their respective titles 2 times:
Tim A. Sylvia (HW) (See title = "Tim Sylvia"> Tim Sylvia and the Willy Nilly Freak Show)
b. George St-Pierre (WW)
vs. Rich Franklin (MW)
d. Andrei Arlovski (HW)
9. Royce Gracie that night's events without weight classes. It was not until UFC 16, which the title and belt system has been implemented. Royce has been a great martial artist, with many as one of the largest.
I think most will agree that the list of combatants is very impressive, however, all the challenges are the main contenders. Never mind that competition is an achievement in itself to win more than one or two straight fights in the National Football League (NFL) of mixed martial arts, and more, while a belt.
